Voom, Reb Fountain and Vera Ellen Announce Nationwide Tour

Samantha Cheong / C.C. / Tuesday 2nd April, 2024 8:00AM

Three exceptional Aotearoa acts walk into a bar, and everyone else is absolutely ready for it. Alt-pop royalty Voom, songwriting icon Reb Fountain and indie-rock prowler Vera Ellen are combining forces for a four date tour across Aotearoa. There’s many significant accolades between them — Fountain's 2020 self-titled album earned her the Taite Music Prize, 2024 Taite finalist Ellen received the Tui award for Best Alternative Artist bNet Music Award in 2022, while Voom's classic 'B Your Boy' won Buzz Moller and the gang the 95bFM Song of the Year award back in 2006!

Voom shook the pillars of Auckland Town Hall at 95bFM’s Save The b Fundraiser late last year, the enrapturing harmonies of Reb Fountain saw her collaborating with Delaney Davidson on his new album Out of My Head, and Vera Ellen returns home following a US visit distinguished by a stand against SXSW's defence industry sponsors last month. Brought to you by Eccles Entertainment, this terrific trinity of Flying Nun Records talents will travel to Ōtautahi, Ōtepoti, Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Tāmaki Makaurau from 30th May to 2nd June — get amongst at the following dates…

Thursday 30th May - James Hay Theatre, Christchurch*
Friday 31st May - Errick’s, Dunedin
Saturday 1st June - Great Hall, Wellington
Sunday 2nd June - Powerstation, Auckland
