The stars arise on 29th June with a very special Matariki concert at St Peters Hall in Paekakariki, featuring the sonic voyaging lineup of Motte, Te Kupu / UMU and Jonny Marks. The solo moniker of Aotearoa hip hop originator Dean Hapeta of Upper Hutt Posse — 2018 Te Whare Taonga Puoro o Aotearoa/ New Zealand Music Hall of Fame inductees — Te Kupu will "deliver spoken word poetry which will be simultaneously manipulated and stretched... on reel-to-reel tapes" by UMU, aka Daniel Beban of Orchestra Of Spheres. Throat singing frontman of All Seeing Hand, for this event Jonny Marks will accompany his voice "on the Tovshuur, a tradition 2-string, Mongolian lute". In-demand collaborator / tour-mate with the likes of Luke Buda, Don McGlashan and Jim Nothing, avant-violinist and composer Motte aka Anita Clark's solo album Cold + Liquid was a deep listening delight of 2022.
