Listen To Jeiel's New Single 'NVM'

Tāmaki Makaurau-based Filipino artist Jeiel (pronounced Jay-El) aka Jeiel Ian Veloria today shares his piano-infused pop / soul / R&B new single  'NVM'. Produced by Chequered Patterns (Seb Judd) at Parachute Studios, 'NVM' was written as a poignant bite-back against the closure of a personal "situationship", following the more upbeat but similarly vulnerable 'always on my mind'. Both tracks are our introduction to Jeiel’s I EP scheduled for release in 2025.

With delicate backing vocals and wistful ad libs, 'NVM' provides an earworm commentary on today’s often non-comital dating culture. Jeiel was formerly spitting tunes under the moniker Jeivenchy for a few years, known for incorporating form-fitting visual arts and couture intertwined on his past records Seenzoned (2020) and 2022's hyper-pop injected Fatal Attraction. "'NVM' is about the bittersweet realisation that what I thought was serious, was not and there is nothing more I can do about it. Truth is, I call it a situationship but for him, it probably meant nothing. I just hope in expressing myself, I created something that people could relate to."
