Hemi Hemingway Announces Nationwide Tour of Aotearoa
Revealing to the world his majestic and emotionally disarming debut album Strangers Again last winter, Hemi Hemingway today thrills fans with news he's been cooking up fresh tunes to share with us all. The musical moniker of Shaun Blackwell (Ngāi Tahu, Kāti Māmoe, Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Mutunga), Hemi Hemingway has announced four headline dates across Aotearoa — joined in Whanganui by "the very sexy talents" of Tender Moonlight, singer of songs Holly Kimber in Ōhinehou / Lyttelton, synth-punk Power Nap (aka myself) in Tāmaki Makaurau and an as yet unannounced very special guest in Pōneke. Look forward to a little bit of old and a little bit of new from the crooning talent, who may or may be investigating new wave / new romantic directions with his latest material (I cannot give anything away but it's sounding spectacular). The only real way to find out is to head long...
"After working away by cover of darkness for the past year, Hemi Hemingway is heading out on his own to some of his favourite spots in Aotearoa to road test some new songs - and to remember some old ones.
This will be Hemi Hemingway's first tour since winter 2023, and some of his first out-of-town shows since his debut album 'Strangers Again' was released last August".
