Wiri Donna Announces EP Release Tour + Unveils Single / Video 'Stop Charades'
Wiri Donna aka Bianca Bailey continues to expand her multimedia universe with new power rock single ‘Stop Charades’ and accompanying visualiser — the third release from her eagerly awaited In My Chambers EP. Bailey bellows about blackholes, switching lights and change in her guitar-saturated ripper of cataclysmic proportions. Recorded with producer James Goldsmith (Beastwars, DARTZ) at Surgery in Newtown, the song features the talents of Harrison Scholes, James MacEwan and Elliott Dawson. Millicent Ghosh, who also was the creative director and animator of Wiri Donna's animated clip for ‘Bad Behavior’, presents viewers with a looping audio-visual experience akin to undulating ink blots in a Rorschach test.
Finalist for the 2023 Best Independent Debut Award for her breakout Being Alone EP, the rising Pōneke songwriter has announced a six-date EP release tour with full band across Aotearoa celebrating In My Chambers, which launches in full on 25th October — you can preorder the vinyl LP edition HERE. First stop in mid-November is Ōtautahi, then Ōtepoti, Ahuriri, Kirikiriroa and Tāmaki Makaurau, before returning to home base in Pōneke to welcome the start of summer.
