Womb Share Single / Video 'One Is Always Heading Somewhere'
Whether it's life on the road or simply staying put in one spot, either way 'One Is Always Heading Somewhere'. That's the title and in many ways the sentiment of the new single from Aotearoa dreamscape visionaries Womb, propelled along by refreshingly brisk instrumental interplay and a stream of illustrative lyrics, grasping towards horizons of inner potential.
The sibling trio of Cello Forrester (vocals, guitar, strings), Haz Forrester (synth, guitar), and Georgette Brown (drums) today also share a resplendent sun-dappled video by Freya Finch for their new song, made with support from NZ On Air. Out via Flying Nun Records, experience the synaesthetic sensations of 'One Is Always Heading Somewhere' and don't miss Womb's spring single release shows, joined by friends in Pōneke, Tāmaki Makaurau, and Ōhinehou...
“This song started on a long drive down the North Island. We wanted it to feel like a single sentence; or a single conversation, in which many thoughts all happen at once. The words “One Is Always Heading Somewhere” took root from one of our favourite poems by Ocean Vuong, “Someday I’ll Love Ocean Vuong” - the lines go: “The most beautiful part of your body / is where it’s headed. and remember, / loneliness is still time spent / with the world.” — Cello Forrester
