TOOMS Return With New Single 'Fox'
From Wine Punk to Public Punk (?), Tāmaki Makaurau's TOOMS are back baby. The power-duo of Dorian Noval and Nich Cunningham today gift fans 'Fox', their first new single since 2022's classic fake teeth — a masterfully executed object lesson on how to actually do super aggro minimal post-punk, without coming across like some kind of macho barber. Playing at Whammy Bar this Saturday 19th October with Bad Taste, Ripship and Grecco Romank as part of Eyegum's ongoing Scenic Tour, here is an official public statement from TOOMS...
"In a rapid fire follow up to their 2022 album Fake Teeth, TOOMS are relieved to announce the release of their new single FOX.
Fox is a tale of belief. Or perhaps more accurately a tale of others failure to share a belief and the difficulty of convincing them. Or the how hard it can be to move events from belief and into fact.
TOOMS are playing at Whammy this Saturday with Bad Taste, Ripship & Grecco Romank"
'Fox' is out today on major streaming platforms.
