Blood Incantation Returning to New Zealand with Secret Chiefs 3

Creators of one of the most acclaimed extreme metal releases of 2024, the cosmically sprawling and labyrinthine Absolute Elsewhere, Blood Incantation are finally heading back to Aotearoa New Zealand, thrilling fans longterm and new with headline dates at Tāmaki's Double Whammy and in Pōneke this November. The US progressive-death metal kings will be joined by next-level supports Secret Chiefs 3, the sonically unpigeonholeable project helmed by Trey Spruance — of Mr. Bungle, Faxed Head (with Gregg Turkington), and Faith No More during their King for a Day... era. Last here in 2022 (I witnessed their magnificent set at Anthology Lounge), Blood Incantation now threaten to deliver the gigs of the year. Cosmic Death Metal Titans BLOOD INCANTATION return to Australia and Aotearoa in November 2025, 3 years after their last highly lauded visitation. Touring on the back of their critically acclaimed album, Absolute Elsewhere released in 2024, the band has grown and evolved into a more complex and progressive beast, one that has gained an even bigger global spotlight, and has thrust them into ongoing headlining and festival appearances, where they've been wowing crowds with their top tier live show.
