Operating in the interzone of post-punk and cyber-rock, We Will Ride Fast is the multi-pronged project of Aotearoa songwriter / producer / multimedia practitioner and 'ontological investigator' Kyle Sattler. His second single of 2025, 'When Will Fire Become Spirit?' is a duet with fellow Tauranga-based artist Frances Ellen, who has previously recorded with Reb Fountain and Dave Kahn. Sonically snappy and direct while lyrically poetic and impressionistic, the pair's new collaboration ponders heightened emotions and turbulent feelings while asking, "Is this what it feels like filled with memories?"
