Start Today Fest 2026 First Lineup ft. Feel The Pain (AUS), One Outs, Brainwave + More
Taking direct action in support of Te Whanganui-a-Tara's resurgent all-ages hardcore community, Start Today Crew have dished the dirt on the first lineup for Start Today Fest 2026. Happening at Newtown Community Centre on Saturday 4th April from noon onwards, the fest's first wave of acts is spearheaded by Feel The Pain from Newcastle, Australia, who supported US heavy-hitters Turnstile earlier this month and recently unleashed their debut World In Two EP via Last Ride Records.
The Aotearoa contingent includes the return of local heroes One Outs, crossover kings Brainwave (who dropped their debut album Ill Intent in October), Ōtautahi's Only You, Money Sock from Tāmaki Makaurau and metalcore unit Cryfor, with even more acts to be revealed. There'll be an arts market too, so get on out there and support your scene...

Feel The Pain are fresh off their Australian tour for their EP “World In Two” and playing with Turnstile in Sydney. "World In Two" is bouncy, loud and has more ‘tude than most can handle. With groovy riffs, swagged out two-step sections and hard mosh parts. You won't want to miss them.
Alongside FTP we have Wellingtons one and only One Outs reuniting for the fest, Brainwave with their relentless crossover, Only You coming all the way from Ōtautahi, Wellington's best metalcore revival outfit Cryfor and Tāmaki’s catchy & groovy hardcore band Money Sock."
