Regurgitator (AUS) Announce JUKEBOXXIN’ Aotearoa 2026 Tour
Giants of Australian alt-rock, Regurgitator's oeuvre now spans more than three decades of genre-smashing anthems, stretching across eleven studio records so far. Making a major splash on both sides of the Tasman with their synth-soaked, chart-hitting opus 1997 opus Unit — whose classic status is celebrated in Lachlan Goold's 33 1/3 Oceania book — and 1999 follow through ...art, Regurgitator have assembled the ultimate fan-favourite set for their upcoming JUKEBOXXIN’ Aotearoa 2026 Tour.
The Brisbane trio of Ben Ely, Quan Yeomans and Peter Kostic with recent recruit Sarah Lim have sifted through their vast back catalogue (which also includes an award-winning kids record under the name of Regurgitator's Pogogo Show) to assemble an unrelentingly hit-packed set of singles from all eras of the group — "near on two hours of aural sugar that drips and drops" — to be busted out in Tāmaki Makaurau, Whāingaroa, Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Ōtautahi this May.
Examining themes of "male violence, colonialism and spiritual emptiness" on their acclaimed latest album Invader (2024) — featuring Peaches on lead single 'This is Not a Pop Song' — Regurgitator will be joined for most dates of the tour by industrial synth-punks Displeasure. Putting their banger 'I Like Your Old Stuff Better Than Your New Stuff' to the ultimate test, grip the details and boogie down with the 'Gurge...

Press release:
JUKEBOXXIN’ in the 21st century!
Following the phenomenon of juke-bots comes REGURGITATOR’s magnum opus - a convergence of time relative to three decades of cataloguing creativity and inspiring match fitness.
It’s a RETROSPECTIVE OF SINGLES time!
Tests revealed sugar is sweet so we are now extending this tour deep into 2026.
A fistful of fizzers poppin’ packets over a hard-driving 32 years plus. REGURGITATOR have spun the dial and played it each and every way. Sui generis jukebottin’ amid droids of repetition, jabbin' society in the eye with a groove full of politics.
55 tablatures of candy fix… punch a coin in the slot. Press play, hit repeat. After last year's INVADER of the new comes a deep droid into those much-loved plateaus of the nostalgia machine. Blister packin’ energy tracked in cycles of repetition — single after single after single adds up to some decent multitudes. Siftin' through their deca-drome of albums and slew of EPs. Robotic arms clawing in muscle memory. Wry rotations juking that stimuli… from Like it Like That’s and Kong Foo Sing’s… to Black Bugs, Polyester Girl’s through the Songs Formerly Known As, to the Pest’s and Cocaine Runaways… the shuffling bots — Quan, Ben, Pete, and latest keytaring effervescence Sarah — with their selector effects will cram as many hits as they canned into near on two hours of aural sugar that drips and drops.
Also of note — album #6 LOVE AND PARANOIA (2007) has finally been pressed on vinyl and is expected imminently. Available at the upcoming shows, retail via MGM, and currently from the online store: https://www.valverecords.com.au/shop/
… you lit a match and we exploded!!! Thanks for all the interaction.
