Slomosa (NOR) Announce Year Of The Horse Tour NZ with Sidewinder
Norwegian ambassadors of juggernaut stoner / desert-rock riffs, Slomosa have set their sights on Aotearoa New Zealand as 2026 moves into auspicious alignment with the Chinese Year of the Horse. Emerging from the "city of seven mountains" Bergen a decade ago and reaping high praise for their genre-defining 2024 sophomore album Tundra Rock — which took away Best Rock album at their nation's prestigious Spellemannprisen awards — Slomosa will be joined in for their local dates (and following Australian shows) by Te Whanganui-a-Tara heavy music titans Sidewinder.
Catch both groups with special guests in Tāmaki Makaurau, Taupō and the capital this May, and crank up 'Feed the Beast', the thunderous new single from Sidewinder's forthcoming third studio album Dominion...

Press release:
Hailing from the city of Bergen, Norway, Slomosa channel the sprawl of their surroundings through a sweeping signature hybrid of revved-up stoner rock riffage, grungy hooks, and a concentrated punk wallop. As if holding up a sonic mirror image to the landscape, an avalanche of distortion tumbles into valleys of massive melody, teeming with tectonic force. Now, the group—Ben Berdous [vocals, guitar], Marie Moe [vocals, bass], Tor Erik Bye [guitar], and Jard Hole [drums]—perfect this inimitable sound on their aptly titled second full-length offering and MNRK Heavy debut LP, Tundra Rock.
Joining them on the tour are NZ veteran stoner band Sidewinder. Since forming in late 2020, the band has carved out a formidable presence in Aotearoa’s heavy music scene with their signature blend of riff-heavy psych, swampy delta blues, and southern stoner rock. 2026 will see the release of their third album - Dominion.
