Playlunch (AUS) Announce 'Sex Ed' New Zealand Tour w/ Coast Arcade

It's an underrated fact munters like a boogie too, and Playlunch have been enabling exactly that with their self-declared "bogan-funk" anthems since 2022. Unabashedly Australian in content and style, the Naarm Melbourne collective have riled up homeland crowds with such cheeky slice of life funk-rock bangers as 'Keith' and 'No Hat No Play', and now they're bringing their Sex Ed tour to Aotearoa New Zealand.

A bit like if Supergroove, DARTZ and a few stray members of Madness got fused together in some kind of Cronenberg telepod accident, Playlunch combine giant hooks with bawdy and sometimes biting commentary — laying into Australia's own housing crisis on 'Real Estate Apps' and celebrating brotherly bonds on 'Boys' ("We're just a big pack of blokes / And we're out on the town"). Expect insanity on and off stage when they tour their disco-injected latest album Sex Ed across Aotearoa this coming May, joined in Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Ōtautahi, and Ōtepoti with special guests Coast Arcade...
