Transvision Vamp NZ Tour Supports Announced - Dropper, The Response
UK rock rebels Transvision Vamp were giants of the late '80s / early '90s era, consistently ruling NZ's charts with major hits 'Baby I Don’t Care', 'Revolution Baby', 'I Want Your Love', 'The Only One' and 'If Looks Could Kill'. They'll finally be down under later this summer for their first Aotearoa headline dates in thirty five years, and iconic frontwoman Wendy James has personally selected local special guest openers.
Making a significant splash with their 2025 debut album Be a Little Kinder, Te Whanganui-a-Tara alt-rockers Dropper will support Transvision Vamp at Tāmaki Makaurau's The Powerstation and the capital's Meow Nui, and garden city duo The Response (whose new album Novel Idea launched in August) will kick the tour off at Ōtautahi's James Hay Theatre. The latest Transvision Vamp lineup features Wendy James with founding bassist Dave Parsons, Alex Ward (The Thurston Moore Group) and James Sclavunos (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) — don't miss them later this month...
