Geneva AM Takirau Te Whanganui-a-Tara Headline Show Announced

Incontestably one of Aotearoa's most significant local long players of the past twelve months, Geneva AM's (Ngāti Ruapani mai Waikaremoana, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa, Aitutaki, Palmerston) debut album Pikipiki was conceived as a bilingual "transmitter to bring people together and inspire us all to never give up hope." The award-winning songwriter / electronic artist has assembled a formidably talented crew for her first ever performance of Pikipiki in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, illuminating Newtown's Moon on 7th March the night before Newtown Festival, in resonance with the Takirau maramataka (lunar calendar) phase. "Nau mai, haere mai for an evening of whakawhanaungatanga at MOON as our worlds merge during the Takirau maramataka phase which is a good time to reflect, connect with Te Taiao and give back to the soil.

Bringing the wairua all night long we have DJs: AJ Honeysuckle from Tāmaki Makaurau alongside local talents Illish, Awa, Wear Pounamu + Savagehine (MC).

Tickets are available on a sliding scale, R18 (arohamai). For a more whanau friendly vibe, Geneva AM will be playing a set at 5:25pm on the Tangata Whenua stage the following day. Mauri Ora."
