Courtney Barnett Announces 'Creature Of Habit' Tour of Aotearoa New Zealand

One of the most significant songwriting voices to emerge from Naarm Melbourne in the past two decades, Courtney Barnett has announced her momentous return to Aotearoa New Zealand. Based these days in Los Angeles, the Aussie superstar is celebrating the launch of her brand new album Creature of Habit with shows across the motu this coming spring, to the guaranteed delight of fans in (and nearabouts to) Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Pōneke Wellington, Ōtautahi Christchurch and Kirikiriroa Hamilton.

Co-founder of the influential Milk! Records (now wrapped up) and collaborator with fellow luminaries as Kurt Vile — their album Lotta Sea Lice was a 2017 highpoint — Barnett's new record notably features contributions from Waxahatchee, Floating Points, and Flea. Written while adapting to her new life in LA, much of Creature of Habit was recorded at Joshua Tree's famous Rancho de la Luna (the same desert location Troy Kingi recorded Leatherman & the Mojave Green).
