More Blue Noise (Kane Strang) Shares Debut 'Normalcy' EP
An increasingly scant resource in a world bombarded by non-stop scandals, Normalcy is the debut EP from Aotearoa avant-rock auteur and Office Dog frontman Kane Strang's solo moniker More Blue Noise. Spacious and unhurried in tone, yet adept at spinning on a dime when required, Normalcy sports five elegantly formed, unmistakably Strang tunes "recorded at my parent’s place and uncle Jim’s piano shop in February." While no More Blue Noise live outings have been announced as of yet, Strang is soon to grace the stage at Whammy Bar with his Office Dog buds, playing a Tāmaki Makaurau fundraiser show before the Flying Nunsters boost it abroad to tour the UK and EU...
"It’s been a long time but I just felt like sitting in a room, writing fast and recording some songs myself again.
Also the line “I’ve been watching normalcy leaking like it’s gasoline” feels a bit on the nose these days I’m sorry…"
