Diggy Dupé 'BROWN VELVET' Auckland & Wellington Shows Announced

Diggy Dupé is rallying the troops for a double date tour celebrating BROWN VELVET, his five track collaboration with fellow Aotearoa hip-hop heavyweight choicevaughan, which originally dropped late last year. The Tūī-award-winning Arch Hill rapper is returning to the stage in style for his first local headline shows in nearly four years. He's put together a full live band and invited along as yet unrevealed special guests, to get crowds boogieing at both Tāmaki Makaurau's Double Whammy on 23rd May and Te Whanganui-a-Tara's Meow on 6th June. Renowned Grey Lynn, Central Auckland-raised rapper Diggy Dupé is back for his first headline show in Tāmaki Makaurau in nearly four years, performing songs from his 2025 project with acclaimed producer, choicevaughan, BROWN VELVET, for the first time with live band and special guests at DOUBLE WHAMMY.

In the near decade since his 2017 debut album K.O.T.I.C, that saw the creation of multiple projects and the winning of multiple awards including the APRA Best Original Music in a Series (for his work on The Panthers), Diggy's Brown Velvet era is an exciting evolution for one of Aotearoa’s most respected rappers, proving his ability to sonically shapeshift while always keeping his Central Auckland roots, Niuean culture, and community values at the core of his artistry.
