Oscar Dowling 'In A Kingswood On St. Benedict's Street' Album Release Tour Announced
Casually reemerging nearly a decade following the release of his debut album Free and Easy via Australian indie darlings Spunk, Aotearoa tunesmith Oscar Dowling is the latest recruit to T & M's steadily growing roster. The former frontman of Tāmaki post-punks New Gum Sarn has a new solo record on the horizon entitled In a Kingswood on St. Benedict's Street, heralded by the frayed yet purposeful shadow balladry of lead single 'Wilding Pine'. Dowling ruminates: "Behind every great fortune / A great crime / Six thousand hectares / Burned back and raped / Five generations / In the bloodline."
Joined on the track by the top team of Liam Pram, Paul Brown and Mason Fairey, Oscar Dowling and band are embarking on a full scale nationwide album release tour next month and you should go. Open your ears to 'Wilding Pine' and hail Dowling's return at the dates below...
