Daffodils Announce 'A GOOD YEAR' Live In Full - Debut Album Preview

A statement of intent or simply wishful thinking? A GOOD YEAR is the title of the forthcoming debut album from Tāmaki Makaurau's Daffodils, a group who've already won local hearts galore with such romantically soaring alt-rock anthems as 'Stay The Night', 'A Leo Underwater' and 'Boys'. Just as commanding on-stage, they're marking this year's mid-point with a very special preview show at Double Whammy, when Daffodils with new drummer Reuben Scott will play A GOOD YEAR in full, joined by special guests to be announced. "Daffodils have always been Tāmaki Makaurau's best kept secret, but with this new album, they’re ready to change that.

The band have grown since their first EP 'Boys' in 2019, and after a few years of life’s ups-and-downs and ins-and-outs, they’ve finally landed themselves in a more confident, outgoing, and self-assured place. With the addition of Reuben Scott on drums, Daffodils have been working on their debut record, titled 'A Good Year'. This new project sees the band standing behind their ideals, learning from their mistakes, and opening themselves up to vulnerability. A GOOD YEAR is a fresh start for Daffodils, and with a more mature, developed sound, it's finally time to watch the band blossom.
