Listen to Tom De Plume's Debut Single 'Jaywalking'

Tom De Plume is the new project (or nom de plume if you will) of Aotearoa songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and production wiz Tom Healy. Guiding hand behind major works from Tiny Ruins and releases by such world-renowned talents as Marlon Williams, The Veils, The Chills, Purple Pilgrims, Nadia Reid, The Verlaines, Ladyhawke, Folk Bitch Trio, Jen Cloher, and countless others, Healy's personal songwriting vision is at the fore with Tom De Plume's debut single 'Jaywalking'.

An exuberant yet contemplative psych-rock nugget, overflowing with soaring strings, playful keys and boisterous chants, 'Jaywalking' is a richly detailed meditation on our own day-to-day trajectories. With no doubt more new tunes to come, join Tom De Plume at this Thursday's single release show at Goblin in Tāmaki Makaurau — capacity is limited so do not snooze...

"The songs had been piling up, and ‘Jaywalking’ explores something I’ve contemplated as long as I can remember: what do we do with our lives, and why? It was the insistence of that thought that made me want to finish the song and release it. After being fortunate enough to work within the community of so many gifted artists, I liked the idea of building a musical world of my own."
