SMALL ROOMS BIG NOISE - Karangahape Road Festival Announced
NOW is the time to bang the drum about our amazing independent venue community in central Tāmaki Makaurau, finally freely accessible via the refreshingly speedy new City Rail Link. Spearheaded by 3rdspacez, SMALL ROOMS BIG NOISE is a multi-venue neighbourhood party happening all around Karangahape Road this Friday, extending tendrils across seven intimate stages at Whammy Bar, Double Whammy, Public Bar, Neck of the Woods, The Green Room and both floors of The Button Factory.
The sonically diverse lineup is appropriately jam-packed with 27 local faves, including many who've been sizzling up our airwaves with new releases — eg. Cindy, Awning, Daffodils — there'll be a rare performance by globe-trotting rising stars Elliot & Vincent, and a whole bunch more (including even myself). All happening as part of the Third Space Music Series, head out and make a major racket about your music community. Here's the official lowdown, keep on the lookout for timetable details later this week...
