Press Release:
GOODSHIRT RELEASE NEW VIDEO AND ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES
Goodshirt have been keeping busy since their return late last year, with a new video for ‘So Charming’, the first single from their EP ‘Skinny Mirror’ and a nationwide tour planned in the coming months.
The music video for ‘So Charming’ was created by award-winning director Helena Brooks and Flying Fish. Helena’s recent short film ‘Nothing Special’ won the Best Short Film at Cinema des Antipodes, and received a nomination for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
Goodshirt’s ‘Skinny Mirror’ is the first new music from the band since 2004’s ‘Fiji Baby’. Recorded over summer while the band found their feet again with their first live shows in 6 years, Skinny Mirror is ‘pretty flipping great.’ (cheeseontoast, May 2012). The EP is available (along with the bands back catalogue) digitally on iTunes and bandcamp, while a collectors edition Skinny Mirror CD is available now from all good record stores.
To celebrate the release of both video and EP, Goodshirt will play shows in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland over the next few months (full tour dates below). Limited pre-sale tickets for all shows will be available from www.undertheradar.co.nz, Real Groovy and Slow Boat Records.
