Sunn O))) and Pelican New Zealand Tour Cancelled

Sunn O))) and Pelican's upcoming New Zealand tour has today been officially cancelled. Sunn O))) initially announced the cancellation a week ago via their site due to irreconcilable differences with the promoter of the Australian leg of the tour.  Not willing to give up, New Zealand promoter RW Entertainment has been working to keep the shows on track with a different promoter in Australia but unfortunately has not been able to do so within the time frame required and has been forced to cancel the shows and issue refunds.

Here is the statement from the promoter and below is some refund information for ticket holders:

"It is with great regret that we must announce that, despite our best efforts to keep the Sunn O))) + Pelican New Zealand tour on track with an alternative Australian promoter and/or new scheduling arrangements, we have been forced to fully cancel these shows and arrange for refunds to be processed for all ticket-holders. While we remain optimistic that the tour can be rescheduled at a later date, and that there remains a very slim chance of the tour proceeding on the original dates, we did not want to make an already patient public wait for information regarding refunds, as well as not wanting the venues to keep dates on hold when they could be used for firm bookings.

We wish to extend our sincere thanks to the public who have waited patiently for clarification regarding this tour, as well as Sunn O))) and Pelican's management teams who have been thoroughly professional in their attempts to help us proceed with the tour. We are excited about working with them again and making this tour eventually happen."

Refunds are being processed by UTR throughout the week.  If you purchased tickets online, your credit card will be refunded and there is no need to get in touch.
