Laneway Festival 2013 First Lineup Announcement

Laneway Festival is heading back to New Zealand for it's fourth year in 2013 and they've just revealed the first load of amazing acts playing.  Let's not mess around, here is the first lineup announcement:

Bailterspace
Yeasayer
Alt-J
Nicolas Jaar
Divine Fits
Of Monsters And Men
Lawrence Arabia
Jessie Ware
Phelps and Munro
Japandroids
Street Chant
The Men
Cloud Nothings
Deer Park
Beach Pigs
The Phoenix Foundation

AND believe it or not there are even MORE amazing acts to be announced in December.

A few points of interest while you let the lineup sink in:  making their New Zealand debut at the festival are Bat For Lashes, Japandroids, The Men, Cloud Nothings, Jessie Ware, Divine Fits (feat members of Wolf Parade and Spoon), Alt-J, Nicolas Jaar and Of Monsters and Men; Bailterspace and Phelps and Munro will make their first live appearances since the early 2000s (90s for Bailterspace proper); Yeasayer, Street Chant and The Phoenix Foundation are making their second appearance at the festival with Yeasayer making their third visit to NZ overall; all international acts bar Nicolas Jaar and Icelandic six-piece Of Monsters and Men have new albums out this year, with Jessie Ware, Alt-J and Divine Fits on their debut; as already announced the festival returns to the same venue for the first time since launching in 2010, taking place at the Silo Park/Wynard Quarter on Auckland's waterfront with increased ground space, grassy areas and all important SHADE.
