Andrew Keoghan Announces February Tour

The very talented Andrew Keoghan is back in New Zealand after a jaunt through the US and Europe and has announced a run of shows next month to celebrate. He will be road testing some new material from a forthcoming release, we assume, amidst tracks from his 2011 debut Arctic Tales Divide...

Andrew Keoghan Announces More New Zealand Shows

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Andrew Keoghan is pleased to announce he will be playing two new shows in Wellington and Christchurch in mid February, as well as performing at Q Theatre in Auckland on February 5th.

Returning from a recent Europe and North American tour, Keoghan will preview a selection of new songs, as well as material from his 2011 debut Arctic Tales Divide.

Keoghan mixes carefully arranged folk, pop and electronic, through the use of guitar, beats, synths, violin and looping one-man choir vocals. Songs reflect a fascination with unexpected encounters and unlikely heroes. He’ll be joined by percussionist Chris O'Connor (The Phoenix Foundation) and Steph Brown (Lips) on keys.

His debut LP Arctic Tales Divide was a finalist for the 2012 Taite Prize and was named The New Zealand Herald’s Top Local Album of 2011. A classically trained singer and arranger, Keoghan worked closely with Lawrence Arabia on the string elements for his new release, The Sparrow and The Ruby Suns’ forthcoming album Christopher.
