Video: Savages - Marshal Dear
Wednesday 30th October, 2013 9:15AM
UK-based post punk band Savages have already released videos for singles 'Husbands' and 'I Am Here' from their critically acclaimed debut album, Silence Yourself, and their latest visual accompaniment is for marauding track 'Marshal Dear'. Co-directed by Gergely Wootsch and Savages' guitarist Gemma Thompson, the clip is apparently based on the novel Slaughterhouse Five, and Kurt Vonnegut's schizophrenic shifts between recounting his experiences in WWII, and as a time-traveller / Alien Greeter. If you've read the book you'll definitely be able to liken this video to it, and you can watch it below.
Savages are playing Auckland's Laneway Festival early next year. Head over here for more information.
