Listen: Surf Friends - The Sea
Appropriately-named Auckland surf rock band Surf Friends have just released an appropriately-named single, 'The Sea', off of their forthcoming sophomore album. The duo, who casually run triathlons in their spare time, will release their appropriately-named album, Endorphins (the cover artwork is an illustration of a little surf cove called Endorphins in which people are both surfing and running, two of the activities that make Surf Friends arguably the happiest / most endorphin-fuelled band on the planet), on November 22nd via Flying Nun Records. The album was recorded by seminal New Zealand musician Nick Roughan (Skeptics) and also features The Clean's David Kilgour. Put a smile on your dial via 'The Sea' below, check out what exercise will do for an on-stage scissor jump over here, and see it for yourself (it is impressive) on their nationwide tour, dates below.
