Eagles of Death Metal and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats Wellington Show Announced
Eagles of Death Metal and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats are headed to Wellington for a double bill show on the back of Auckland's Westfest and Soundwave Festival in Australia. British psych-metallers Uncle Acid are making their first visit to our shores and while Eagles of Death Metal have been over a couple of times, this appears to be their first Wellington outing . Furthermore, Josh Homme - who rarely plays live with the band but as announced yesterday is heading to Wellington with QOTSA in March - has confirmed this week that he and co-founder Jesse Hughes have been working on new EODM album expected to be out this year. So Wellington, some epic times ahead for you in the coming months - don't miss out!

Eagles Of Death Metal are a labour of love and side-project of the Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and fellow rocker, ordained minister & and best mate Jesse Hughes. Despite their band name, Eagles of Death Metal is not a death metal band, infact on their most recent – 3rd album “Heart On” their scuzz-rock was sleeker and catchier without sacrificing any of its sludgy hedonism.
Rumored to be slowly working towards their fourth LP, it’s time to lock up your lady friends as the Eagles are landing once again in NZ to party their mustaches off!
From humble beginnings in the witchy flat lands of Cambridgeshire, England, Uncle Acid & the deadbeats have devolved into an international band of street creeps, burnouts and draft dodgers. Since unleashing their debut monumental, internationally feared and revered set of blood-curdling chainsaw anthems known as Blood Lust in 2012. It is a fact that Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats have, in recent times, become one of the most talked about rock bands currently in existence.
Imagine the original Alice Cooper band jamming in a cell with early Black Sabbath (who they extensively toured with in 2013) and the Stooges, whilst sitting on murder charges and you may get a glimpse into their fuzzed up world of exploding tube amps and cymbal smashing mayhem. Uncle Acid & the deadbeats has come to kill us here in NZ on the back of their 2nd album MIND CONTROL. We must obey.
