Live Photos: Gary War, Purple Pilgrims and Kraus - Audio Foundation, Auckland

New York-based avant-garde musician Gary War (ex-Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti) kicked off the long weekend with a performance at the Audio Foundation where he was joined by local acts Purple Pilgrims and Kraus. New Zealand natives Clementine and Valentine Nixon, who comprise Purple Pilgrims, have been living in Hong Kong for the last three years and have traveled the globe extensively with War. The sisters supported their former tour pal by delivering their trademark ethereal drone folk to the audience, alongside Auckland experimental act Kraus.
