Listen: Proton Beast - Data

More than a year after dropping the single 'Tetris', disco-doom act Proton Beast have come back with killer new single 'Data'. The group's return has also seen them expand from a duo to a three-piece, with Vaughan Williams (The D4) entering the fold alongside Westley Holdsworth and Stuart Harwood. The new lineup sees the Proton Beast also emerge with a new sound for their upcoming debut album, one that is more machine than man, yet immanently danceable.

The recording for Digitizer was undertaken by Eddie Castelow (Dictaphone Blues) at Mt Eden's The Lab studio. The album is due for release later this year through Muzai Records. In the meantime get a load of this...
