Listen: Proton Beast - Vis Visa
Three-headed creature Proton Beast have unleashed the ear-splitting third single from their long-awaited album Digitizer. The Auckland outfit, which started life a few years ago as a two piece, has expanded to a trio made up of Vaughan Williams, Westley Holdsworth and Stuart Harwood. The three musicians have been slaving away on the eight track record, which has doubled in scope from its initial conception as a four-track EP some time ago. Freshly unveiled tune 'Vis Visa' follows earlier singles 'Data' and 'Tetris', employing the same incredible wall of digital noise and incorporating angular vocoder-effected lyricism. Digitizer was recorded by Eddie Castelow (Dictaphone Blues) at The Lab studios, and will be released on 13th February. In the meantime, feast your ears on this...
Proton Beast are celebrating the release of Digitizer with a show at Lucha Lounge on 14th February with support from Parents, Dad Jokes and sere. Head over here for more details and to buy tickets.
