Hugh Sundae Appointed bFM General Manager
Auckland radio station bFM has announced that Hugh Sundae has been appointed to the role of general manager. Sundae has a long history with bFM, having started with the station as a volunteer at age 14 and subsequently working his way through various positions before launching a career in television in New Zealand, and then in the United Kingdom. His most recent roles include the digital entertainment producer for NZ Herald and staging the NZ Film Awards. Due to his experience and evident passion for bFM, the appointing board saw Sundae as a clear leader through the challenging interview process, possessing the skills and vision to deploy the 10 year strategic plan developed by bFM’s trustees.
Sundae is reportedly rapt with his appointment, saying in a statement: “As a 10 year old, bFM was my crush, as a teenager bFM was my third parent and in my twenties it was my university. I’ve tried to bring a bit of bFM to every job I’ve done since and I’m intensely excited to help enable those talented bastards to broadcast the shit out of themselves". Following the on-air announcement of his appointment, Sundae had this to add:
Fucknuckles, cock and piss.
