Battle-Ska Galactica are releasing the 2nd single 'World Wide Pain' from their upcoming album, and are assembling with their good friends Ska Pai and Jeff Tones for a proper knees up to celebrate!

Battle-Ska Galactica are a Wellington ska institution, who have been getting the skank onto dance floors around the country since 2009.

A 7 piece original ska band with a 3-piece horn section, BSG draw influences from Jamaican Ska, 2-Tone ska and UK punk, and meld these sounds with a unique Aotearoa take on the genre. Known for tackling \issues\ in their songs, BSG use the upbeat energy of ska music as a trojan horse to discuss environmental concerns, politics, metal health and smashing capitalism, while keeping the party going and putting a smile on everyones face!

Ska Pai are a funky ska-punk explosion, who take the ska aesthetic to new heights. Tight punky guitars, harmonised vocals, frenetic energy and blazing trumpet, Ska Pai always come dressed to kill, and everybody loves a bit of murder on the dance floor.... With more of a USA 3rd wave ska sound, we are covering all the ska bases tonight.

Jeff Tones is a new super group bringing you a dense set of funk and soul music. Expect soothing vocals and roaring horn lines, pulling from both classic and modern influences. Each member brings years of live experience, creating a sound that’s confident, warm, and built for the dance floor! Jeff Tones aims to deliver a set that feels familiar yet refreshing.
