Tour Information
Join us for an evening of eclectic folk styles, ranging from country bluegrass to folk punk.
Bottom Bunk Club will start off our afternoon. They are a Wellington-based folk-punk trio four-piece who combine heavy-handed lyrical metaphors with heavy-handed chord bashing to create catchy hooks you can’t help but sing along to. Topics for discussion include: vomit, disregarding authority, hurt feelings, and Japanese sea monsters.

Butter Wouldn't Melt will follow. They recently released their album Where the roots grow deep, which hit Number 3 on the Aotearoa Music Charts. This 5-piece folk band is made up of Andrea Reid (guitar and vocals) Nick Burfield (guitar and vocals), Marz Connelly (bass and vocals), Mikey Muggeridge (mandolin and vocals), and Cara Brasted (fiddle and vocals). Through powerful harmonies and upbeat instrumentals, they tie together folk, Americana, country, bluegrass styles to bring their own twist to New Zealand storytelling.
