Wax Chattels + Na Noise Join Lineup For Mermgrown Tāmaki Makaurau

C.C. / Monday 15th March, 2021 9:42AM

Ramping up excitement to inconceivable levels for the first ever Mermgrown Tāmaki Makaurau, Mermaidens have announced hometown heroes Wax Chattels and Na Noise have joined their boutique festival's already thrill-powered bill, set to take over Whammy Bar, The Wine Cellar and Backroom on Saturday 20th March. Must see live favourites, both groups are firing on all cylinders — Wax Chattels were announced on Friday as finalists for the prestigious Taite Music Prize 2021 for their second studio album Clot, and Na Noise are among the three breakout acts in the running for this year's Auckland Live Best Independent Debut Award, for their ace 2020 long player Waiting For You. Na Noise will be playing as a six piece big band for the occasion, a quick bit of mental arithmetic suggests this might hint at the return of "Da Boise" (international men of mystery: James Milne, James Dansey and Vincent H.L).  Roll that enticing prospect around your noggin and clock the full lineup for "da party of da year" below...
