a2 Company presents Motion Sickness, an existential crisis at the rave.
Touring Aotearoa festivals and theatres in March 2026.
Motion Sickness features Michael Dupp's debut EDM album performed in full, alongside an hour of immersive visual projection and a monologue discussing: Judith Collins’ portfolio as the Minister for Space, what happens when the universe stops expanding, and how the internet can be taken down at any moment by a rat or a well placed anchor (to name just a few points).
“The brink of chaos…startlingly visceral.”
- My Melbourne Arts
After a2 Company’s previous work, Running into the Sun, sold out its NZ tour and was heralded as “A seminal piece of gen Z artistry” co-directors Nadiyah Akbar and Ben Ashby teamed up with Michael Dupp (AKA Toby Leman) to create this war cry for the internet age. Motion Sickness compares our imploding society with the end of the cosmos itself.
“I walked out dizzy with hope.”
