We’re 10 years old!! Improverished are your local Auckland improvised theatre company, and we have been creating joyful silly shows since 2015. That means it’s time to celebrate with a 10 year birthday bash! (Don’t squint at those numbers too hard and you won’t realise they don’t quite add up right ?)
We’re returning to The Factory Theatre which has been our home for 4 previous seasons for this special anniversary show!
This 90 minute spectacular will be a celebration of our history and previous shows, and will feature our signature upbeat style. You can expect to see a fully improvised comedy show with lots of different genres, scenes, interesting ask-fors, and fun characters. This is a chance to gleefully revisit some of your favourite shows if you’ve seen us before, or to catch up on our entire back catalogue if you haven’t been to one of our shows yet!
Featuring a rotating cast of Improverished’s theatre troupe including Rebecca Mary Gwendolon, Frankie Browne, Nik Edwards, Izzy Renton, Tony Bosch, Rowan McCracken, Victoria Smith, Nick Yeats, Bridie Thomson, Oliver Smith and Laura Donaghey. With live music performed by Jonathan Vanderhoorn.
The show will be suitable for all ages but is not recommended for audience members under 10 yrs old.
The Factory Theatre is fully wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral and accessible bathrooms available. These performances will not be audio described or sign interpreted.
