Come and celebrate Tessa de Lyon’s latest release, Heart Melt, a six track E.P that has already broken the charts for melting hearts.
Released just in time for the spring thaw, Heart Melt is chock-a-block full of warm and sweet tunes, some about misery, most about joy, and all celebrating a love for the bewildering journey of it all. Recorded in a lo-fi fashion out of her own home, Tessa de Lyon is taking the music to the stage for a live rendition.
You’ll be in for an evening of eclectic instrumentation; harmonicas, xylophones, banjos… all sorts! Tessa de Lyon will be accompanied by talented musicians such as Olivia Campion (Mystery Waitress, Yumi Zouma), Alex Howie (Stan Antonio) and Brooke Singer (French For Rabbits).
Tessa de Lyon received glowing reviews for her debut album, ‘Tessa’s Album’, released in late 2024. Praised for her “mellifluous voice” and songs that are “quietly impactful” “full of hope” and “comforting melodies”, she has since performed on RNZ live with Jesse Mulligan, and opened for some of Aotearoa’s finest musical acts including Womb, Fazed On A Pony, Louis TM, Violet Hirst and more.
Phoebe and Alex of Stan Antonio grew up attending folk festivals and have played around Wellington as part of various folk groups. They dabble in the realms of Americana, folk, and bluegrass, and have recently been writing music together. Their influences include classic artists such as Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, more contemporary artists such as Adrianne Lenker. They aspire to use the banjo as a force for good in this world, alongside close harmonies and acoustic guitar.
