Two musician friends — jazz pianist Ben Fernandez and operatic tenor Patrick Coelho — reconnect in concert after 25 years, bringing together a wonderfully eclectic programme that moves effortlessly across genres and generations.
Joining Patrick and Ben are an exceptional ensemble of musicians:
Lady Larisa- fabulous jazz singer from Hawkes Bay who has performed at concerts in different parts of the world and opened for Michael Buble at his concert in New Zealand. , Hannah de Koster (drums), Russel McNaughton (bass) and Joshua Fernandez (saxophone).

The musicians
Patrick Coelho — voice
Patrick is an accomplished operatic tenor who regularly performs with musical theatre and opera companies in Wellington. He has performed with New Zealand Opera, Wellington Opera, Wellington Comic Opera and other leading musical theatre and opera companies. He has also appeared as a stage actor in productions including Sugu Pillay’s Serendipity and Gregor Cameron’s Saint Punch and Tell Me The Truth About Love. Patrick has performed as a soloist at Wellington’s Sacred Heart Cathedral and with the Marian Choir of I.C. Church in Mumbai.
Ben Fernandez — piano
Ben Fernandez is a classically trained jazz pianist, composer, arranger, producer and educator. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Auckland and has performed at concerts and events in more than 25 countries. An award-winning composer for jingles, television and film, Ben has released 11 albums of his music in New Zealand and teaches jazz improvisation in Auckland.
Lady Larisa — voice
An international jazz singer and songwriter, Lady Larisa has performed from Hollywood and Nashville to New Orleans’ legendary House of Blues and opened for Michael Bublé at the Mission Concert. With her smooth, soulful voice and magnetic stage presence, Larisa brings warmth, humour and glamour to every performance.
It will be an evening to remember. Come for the music, the memories and the extraordinary atmosphere of Kāhui St David’s Great Hall — a landmark Auckland venue where beautiful music and beautiful surroundings come together.
