Fifty years ago, on Thanksgiving Day 1976, Robbie Robertson played his last gig with The Band. The occasion was immortalized in Martin Scorcese’s film “The Last Waltz”. Join us for a tribute to this seminal band, with a selection of material drawn from the film, and from the Last Waltz concert itself. The five piece band for the night consists of Nigel Malthus, drums; Patrick Doyle , guitars and vocals; Cris Ardouin, bass and vocals; Terry Gallavin, keyboards and vocals; Mike Pannell, guitars and vocals. They will conduct the audience through a full set of Band songs. After an interval, the band will be joined by friends who will perform as the guests did 50 years ago. Our friends on the night are, in no particular order, Blair Morgan, Stephanie McEwen, Anthony Doyle, Roger McArthur, Joanne Thompson, Mark Bradford, Steve Cogle, Sandy Inglis, Peter Royle, Dave Mitchell.
