Ōtepoti psych-rock trio OMMU return with a further celebration of sound and vision, joined by Kāhu and Treebark and visual artists The Ruined Map and Kerian Varaine.
OMMU perform spontaneous improvised pieces that range from the gentle to the gigantic, from the sparse to the dynamically dense. This is true improvisation. No discussion. No plan.
Kāhu (Tristan Dingemans)- treated electric guitar and voice. Foraging the interzone between mass and light.
I don't play guitar. I play amplifier.
-Jimi Hendrix.
Treebark is a duo formed by Sarah Claman on electric violin and Sebastian Vidal on bass guitar. Their music blends different sources and inspirations creating rough and textured grooves.
All music on the night will be augmented by projected visual art created by The Ruined Map and Kerian Varaine.
