The Nudge have been forming their genre crossing sound for the past few years now. Formed initially from Ryan Prebble wishing to expand what was originally a solo project. Elements of blues were naturally there, however with the addition of Coyle and Whakamoe, The Nudge has come to find their sound far more psychedelic and hypnotic.
What establishes these guys as unique is there ability to full the sonic's of the music, both layered and texturally, to be a crucial part of their song writing. Often tribal in rhythm , the element of a party and dance vibe is never far away from the heart of the songs.
This act, The Nudge, is best seen live and left for the individual to find what they call home.
As one thing is for sure, no matter who you are, you will find something inside The Nudge that will make you feel alive, at home, or at the Party. Enjoy
ALIZARIN LIZARD
Alizarin Lizard have spent the year at opposite ends of the country, rejoining at every opportunity they can find to catch up, talk shit and play music for you. Luckily their mutual hobbies of drinking, time travel and darts have combined forces and brought them together once again. Don't touch your eyeball after eating spicy finger food.
GEYSERS
Geysers is New Zealand’s newest live-electronica act.
Comprised of the explosive rhythm section from Knives at Noon (Tim Couch – Drums and Oli Wilson on Synths), and the highly acclaimed master-of-loops and vocalist (Oleh), Geysers blends electronic production seamlessly into their 100%-live performances.
Heavily groove-centered, Geysers are influenced by an eclectic range of artists including The Prodigy, Justice, Daft Punk and Pink Floyd and employ cutting production techniques similar to DubFX and Beardyman. These influences combine to create an original perspective on live music.
The trio formed in late 2012 during an unsuccessful fishing trip when they realised they had the similar passions and musical preferences, (and not to mention owned their own instruments). After a few jams, the band instantly gelled, and quickly established themselves locally sharing bills with Tom Lark, The Nudge, and Left or Right. In February, they even played the coveted opening slot for Belgium chart-toppers Netsky Live.
