CLEVER BOX & FRIENDS is now firmly entrenched as one of Auckland’s most distinct voices in underground electronic music. Each party includes both established and future heroes performing predominantly original music alongside resident and curator, Clever Box.
Down the stairs at Ink you’ll discover a melting pot of fanatical techno adventurers, musicians and peace-loving earth wanderers all rubbing shoulders with the regular club kids.
There’s absolutely no discrimination on the dancefloor; it’s an awesome experience to be part of such a supportive and all-encompassing crowd that’s immersed in the same musical language. C-MATIC has been moving dance floors on the Melbourne underground techno scene since the mid 2000s. Mixing a seamless blend of impeccably-selected floor-focused techno, her sound is a delight for appreciators of the more minimalist tech vibes.
She’s one of the faces behind the legendary ‘acollectivefuture’ parties and known to make appearances at Killing Time, The Breakfast Club @ 161 and BlackMarket. c-matic has also performed at some of Australia’s leading underground music festivals, including Rainbow Serpent Festival, Maitreya, Forgotten Kingdom and Tribeadelic + Aum Festival in New Zealand.

NONCHARLET (Charlotte), has been heavily involved in the dance music scene for the last decade as a DJ, producer and ringleader at gigs, festivals and parties throughout New Zealand. She’s played M*A*S*S*I*V*E and Luminate Festivals, coordinated Wellington’s No Lights No Lycra, held down a residency at Laundry Cuba Street in Wellington and runs the Work in Progress DJ Collective. She has also played at Shipwrecked Festival, Cuba Street Festival and Morning People.
She can play a variety of different sets moving towards deep house, house, tech house and funky house with big bass. Some of her favourite Producers/DJs are: Booka Shade, Rodriguez Jr, Klunsh, Michael Mayer, Gui Boratto, Zoo Brazil and Moonbootica. Noncharlet is highly entertaining, knows how to read a crowd, smile, dance and is definitely not serious....
