The 7 November Songwriters’ Showcase features the work of three more local songwriters.
Rob Joass- Rob moved to New Zealand from his native Sydney over 30 years ago, and hasn't stopped touring and releasing albums since. He has been a finalist at the NZ Music Awards 3 times (twice for best country song, once for best folk album) and has had songs covered by bands in New Zealand and Canada. For this gig (the day before his 60th birthday!) he will be joined by his musical cohort of over 25 years, Hamish Graham, and his son, Tommy Joass (Bill Hickman Band)..
RueBarb - RueBarb is a five piece indie pop band. The band’s friendship is easy to see on stage, and their stage presence was last described as ‘pulp fiction’. RueBarb’s set will start slow, add some fast country, and end with some energetic ‘pulp fiction’ that will showcase their diverse range of original material.
