[The Allophones] are a 3 piece duo hailing from Ōtepoti, or Dunedin if that offends you. Members of the band have opened for the likes of Soaked Oats, The Chills and Garageland. With a vocal centric songwriting style, they serve your ears with a tasty barrage of guitar riffs, juxtaposed with sweet melodies. However on the 23rd of December they will be putting their own spin on exclusively christmas classics. Performing at Dunedin's premier venue for small-mid sized bands, Dive Bar, they are joined on the night by Sour Queen, the solo project of Lucy Pollock.
Doors open at 8pm. First act on at 8.30, wrapped up by 10. Fun for all the family. $15, or $10 on the door with student ID.
