It is a heartfelt song that narrates the story of losing an old friend who, in his relentless pursuit of wisdom and truth, succumbs to a dark abyss, nurturing an inflated ego that ultimately alters his very essence, leading to a rapid divergence in our paths. This journey is one that resonates with many, as we all grapple with the intricate web of life's challenges and the transformations it brings.
Kennedy Savage are an Auckland-based indie trio, lead by singer/songwriter Harry Thompson-Cook, with a reputation for writing ear-candy pop-rock songs and putting on colourful and energetic live shows across the country. Stitching together a handful of influences from early 90s alternative, rock and pop with a kiwi flair, their sound is nostalgic yet refreshingly modern. They are currently working on their debut self-titled EP at Big Fan Studios, Morningside which is to be released later this year. Expect to hear explosive sing-along choruses garnished with danceable beats and lyrics that pull on your heart-strings.
Mizzy, a singer-songwriter based in Auckland, New Zealand, blends delicate, ethereal sounds of dream-pop and indie-folk with an alt-rock edge. With an introspective and candid, yet slightly hazy lyrical perspective, she navigates raw concepts of dreams, doubts, loss, and growing pains. Currently in the process of recording her debut EP, which promises to explore adventurous soundscapes, Mizzy's music invites listeners into a world of vulnerability and strength.
