Gig Information

Brother Sister are releasing a Limited Edition vinyl album with Leather Jacket Records and hitting the road to celebrate.

Electro-pop whiz kids Brother Sister channel their passion for the sound and style of throw back 80s culture into their uplifting blend of electro driven synth pop.

A band of siblings, Brother Sister are an energetic trio that have shared a womb and now share the stage - featuring Dave Thomson (synth & lead vocals), Taz Thomson (bass and lead vocals)
and Ben Thomson (drums).

Their sound unapologetically references the rich, nostalgic sounds of 80s cartoons and cinema, but with plenty of surprising flourishes to keep it fresh. Pulsing keyboards, programmed drums, driving bass and dueling melodic hooks are expertly blended to take listeners back to the future. Their live performances are fun, punchy and irresistibly danceable.

“If you haven’t already, we strongly recommend you indulge yourself in the retro synth-pop goodness of New Zealand sibling trio Brother Sister.” - Happy Mag

Brother Sister seem to have captured the essence of 80s chart toppers... acts such as Altered Images, Eurythmics, Thomas Dolby, Toni Basil, Naked Eyes and... dare I say it...
Kajagoogoo. - The 13th Floor
Brother Sister use the synth to make their songs flow, with a beat you can
imagine walking down the street to. - NZ Musician

Like Hanson but angry. There's no BS about Brother Sister; they played the
most straightforward, synth-heavy garage rock of the night... - Radio 13
