Pianist and bandleader Joe Kaptein (Circling Sun, Princess Chelsea, Soft Chaos) returns to Ponsonby Social Club, armed with several vintage keyboards and synthesisers, and backed by a band made up of some of Auckland's hottest players. The group will be performing a selection tunes from his latest album Eternal Afternoon (released in July on Sarang Bang Records), premiering some new original music, and whipping out a few favourite covers.
