Swampy Americana
Irishman Andrew Kerr (ex. Jacky Tar) and Alan Norman (The Warratahs, The Rag Poets) are now a trio with Paddy Burgin (The Wooden Box Band, The Zimmermans), and his magical guitars.. Paddy, a world-renowned luthier, was a member of The Scarborough Connection, who featured on Andrew and Alan’s critically acclaimed 2023 release ‘For the Record.’ A swampy melting pot of country, folk, americana and blues, they combine a mutual love of story-telling and rhythmic grooves with narratives about the human experience. They perform predominantly original material, with contributions from each member, calling on a wide range of instrumentation including piano, acoustic and Weissenborn guitars, accordion, bodhran, and percussion.
“…..one of the year’s best albums in Americana/folk….a thoughtful, passionate, and musically rich collection that holds up under repeated listens….” Anne Hollister www.theindiesource.com
“I’m struck by the smoothness of the production, the delicate precision of the arrangements…what a great set of songs. What wonderful playing..” Simon Sweetman

Danica Bryant is a force to be reckoned with. A pop-folk singer-songwriter with a gritty rock-edge, her music tackles provocative themes from celebrity culture to neurodiversity through an unabashedly queer feminist lens.
Her “playful indie pop” (Rolling Stone) has seen her open for legends like Elton John and Robbie Williams. With her upcoming debut album expected this winter, Bryant is “venomous yet passionate” (Ambient Light), “cynical but emotional” (NZ Musician), and an unapologetically fresh voice on the pop music scene.
Wellington singer songwriter Cindy Muggeridge is usually found rocking her boogie and blues piano and big warm voice with the Raven Mavens Quartette, or with harmonica ace Neil Billington. On Sunday May first, she will deliver her instantly listenable songs as they were written, just the songstress and the piano. With perhaps a little help from her friends.
